Dear diary, my name is Amitola and i have one brother and I live with my father and grandparents.My mother died when i was really young so I really don't know that much about her.Well today is going to be really fun my whole family is coming  and we are having a festival with the rest of the tribes.I don't get to see my aunts and uncles and cousins that much  it is going to be really fun.Well time to go family is here got to run by!.

The Chickasaw nation has a very important dance that did for entertainment it was called the breath dance.It was for people that was stressed and wanted to let it all out but didn't know how to so they danced. that's what they did for entertainment.

All tribal people were edual in terms of personal liberty.Every warrior held his honor and love of country for their culture.They would play traditional games and have a class so the kids that don't know about the Chickasaw tribe know.

For interesting facts is that the original homeland was was thought to be what is present day Tupelo Mississippi.from there they spared across southeastern United States.

The climate was very important to the Chickasaw nation.they all had different belief's for the climate some believed that there are wars in the sky some believed that there king is giving them a sign know one knows why they thought that and never will.

Hi my name is aiyonna and I am a Chickasaw child i live in a longhouse.Us Native Americans eat many different types of food like Indian fry bread,banaha bread,Indian molasses bread,poshofa meat,white
grape dumplings,and pumpkin cookies.The food that I eat is very good.Some people judge us because of what we eat but we don't judge them for what they eat.So I hope one day you try our food and see how good our food really is.

The Chickasaw tribe religion is very close to the Choctaw religion.They worship Aba Binil and Inki Abu.When it rains,thunder and blows heavy winds the Indians thought that there were wars in the sky by the warriors .Also they would shot there guns in the sky so that they know that the people in the sky are not afraid to get shot.

Aiyonna's Amitola {Rainbow} Story

There once was a girl named Amitola (Rainbow) who lived in an Indian Village in a beautiful valley by a flowing river.

Amitola's mother died when she was very young.  She lived in a tee pee with her father and grandparents.  Amitola's clothes and tee pee were very plain.  Amitola didn't have her mother to teach her to decorate and make colorful clothes and jewelry.  Amitola was laughed at by other girls, because of her plain clothes.  This made Amitola very sad.

Amitola would often go into the forest to watch the birds fly around and listen to them sing.  The birds colorful feathers and beautiful songs made her very happy.  Amitola enjoyed the birds so much that she would climb up the tree just to be closer to them. 



One day a cardinal bird flew up to Amitola and began to sing a song for her.  To Amitola amazement, she understood the language.  The cardinal asked her why she was always so sad.  Amitola told the cardinal all about her mother who she still misses very much and about the children laughing and making fun of her.

The cardinal called the other birds over to tell them why Amitola was so sad.  The birds decided to teach Amitola how to sing with them  Amitola was surprised and responded that she doesn't know how to sing.  The birds kept insisting that she at least try to sing.  Amitola started to sing with the birds and to her amazement she had a beautiful voice.  When the song was finished, the cardinal stated to Amitola that she represented all the birds in the forest.  The cardinal told Amitola that she should sing when she is working and thinking of her friends in the forest.

Amitola returned back to the village and began to work and sing.  Everyone in the village loved Amitola singing.  She had the most beautiful clothes and jewelry in the village.  All the other girls were jealous, but soon became her friends and seeking her advice.

she understood their language.At the end of the song the cardinal asked her why she was
always so sad.She told the bird about her mother who she missed very much and the other
childern laughing at her because she had no sense of color.
The Cardinal called the other bird warbcers,robins,orioces,wood thnush,and many other
colorful birds.
The birds in vited her to sing with them.She had never sang bofore and she was't sure she
could sing.With their proning she thought why not.All the birds started to sing she joined in to her
amazement she had a beautiful voice.
When the song was finished the cardinal explained that she represented all the birds present
of the forest because her mother named her Amotola which is made of all the colors..
The cardinalv told her that she should sing whaen she is working and think of her friends in the forest
and she would no longer be sad.
She returned tob the  village and began to workand sing soon she had the most beautiful
moscousins,dresses,and jewlry and all the other girls envious but soon became her friends

seeking her advice.
